Is it destiny, or is it inevitable? The ninja, who are still present in various parts of Japan, will be separated into two teams, red and black. Whether or not this is someone's life, we still don't know.

Learn about the nature, history, traditions, and culture of various parts of Japan by traveling along the Ninja Route and seeing ninja-related places from the two different perspectives of the red and black NINJA. Travel Japan in the feeling that you’ve become a ninja yourself—this is Ninja Tourism.

Participate in Ninja Tourism, and you may find yourself viewing spots you have visited in the past with completely fresh and different eyes. Yes indeed—when you take part in Ninja Tourism, every part of Japan instantly becomes a stage for you to appreciate the world of the ninja.

So now, Japan is divided into red and black. Your own activities and movements can change Japan’s destiny (unmei).

This time, it's not just a sightseeing trip. As a descendant of the ninja, who may be your distant ancestors, you will receive special orders to become a ninja to "scout" important spots scattered around the country. The person sightseeing next to you right now could even be a red (or black) ninja. Is he a friend or an enemy? What will happen if your identity is revealed? This new way to enjoy sightseeing, in which you become the main character of the story, is the real thrill of NINAJA tourism.

Travel Japan, guided by two kinds of ninja—the red and the black. Even identical encounters may seem completely different to the red and the black. On the shore of Lake Biwa, the red ninja may be crying while the black ninja laughs. But what about tomorrow?

Which do you choose, red or black?

The ninja virtually divide Japan into two!

Japan is home to many schools of ninja aside from the Iga and Koga schools. The ninja sometimes act to distract or divert, and sometimes they join forces.

Immerse yourself in the world as you explore the areas surrounding the two teams.

Let's enjoy with "app"!

"SARF" is an app that makes the NINJA route a more immersive and special experience.

"SARF" is a service that allows you to enjoy various audio and music contents from your smartphone by utilizing the location information of GPS.

Just by keeping the app running, NINJA can act as a tourist guide in many languages at various tourist spots on the NINJA route, and sometimes protect you from the enemy NINJA. Beside the shogun, he will be like NINJA himself, who has given us various information.

Discover and enjoy the nature, culture, and history of various parts of Japan that can be seen from different perspectives in red and black.

How SARF works

Sound AR "SARF" is a mechanism that utilizes GPS and beacon location information to deliver voice content linked to a specific location in multiple languages from a dedicated app.

By approaching the area displayed on the map, the audio content will be activated and the audio and music related to that area will be played.

It can be used in various situations such as city tours, stamp rallies, and pilgrimages to sacred places, just like taking an audio guide from a museum or art gallery out on the town.

Since the content is audio, it is safe and enjoyable because you are not "walking around" looking at your smartphone while strolling.

Another great feature is that even in the same location, visitors can experience different content depending on the situation, such as day and night, spring, summer, fall, and winter.
