NINJA Tourism

- kansai -

The first trip with two NINJAs throughout Japan
 is to Kansai

The NINJA route starts from the Kansai area, where there are many locations related to NINJA.

Red Route
Journey to the ancient capital Kyoto and the city of merchants

The Red Route brings you to the history of Japan, from ancient times to the world of the Samurai. Kyoto is the city where the Heian-kyo capital was relocated. NINJA may have played an important role in Hieizan-Enryakuji, where Saicho founded Tendai-shu and is located across Lake Biwa, close to Koka Ninja Village. Also, with NINJA as a guide, you can enjoy a route that takes you to important Japanese centers, such as Sakai, which flourished as the Venice of the East, and Osaka, which reigned as the center of Japanese commerce for many years. It is recommended that you also enjoy this tour in conjunction with Iga and Koyasan, both of which are on the Black Route.

Black Route
Discover a Japan older than Kyoto

The Black Route takes you to the mountains, sea, sky, and rich nature of Kumano-kodo and Kumano-Sanja, which have developed as important centers since much earlier than the relocation of the Heian-kyo capital and can be considered one of the roots of Japan. NINJAs trained in Kumano-kodo. One may feel the shadow of NINJA beside Kukai, who created a major base of Mikkyo in Koyasan. And the NINJA of the village of Iga may have played an important role in the establishment of Tokugawa Ieyasu's Edo shogunate. This route also allows you to enjoy the rich nature and gourmet foods from Nanki and Ise-Shima.

 with the app!

SARF is an app that makes the NINJA route a more immersive and special experience.

Utilizing GPS, this service allows users to enjoy a variety of audio and music content from their smartphones.

Just keep the app running and NINJA will act as a multilingual tourist guide at the various sights along the NINJA route, sometimes protecting you from enemy NINJAs. They will be just like real NINJA, who used to be by the side of their lords and generals to give them all sorts of information.

Discover and fully enjoy the nature, culture, and history of each region of Japan as seen from the different perspectives of the Red Route and the Black Route.

App version NINJA Route original story

NINJA have been hiding in the shadows of time, passing on their skills and spirit to the future, but when the timeless art of the "jiku-tonko jutsu" was invented, the NINJA's power was split in two.

The Black clan tries to change the past and create a peaceful future, and the Red clan tries to stop them and protect the people living in the present and their history. The two clans are now engaged in a fierce struggle.

The story begins when our main character, Haru, a descendant of the NINJA, finds a history book in which the battles of the NINJA are recorded. On it were marked the footsteps of Momochi, a youth of the Black Clan, Rin, a woman of the Red Clan, and Goro, a ninja dog. Haru follows their footsteps with the help of the map, and by unraveling the history book, witnesses the truth of the battle between the NINJA and other clans.

Sound AR "SARF"

Sound AR "SARF" is a system that uses GPS and beacon location information to deliver audio content tied to specific locations in multiple languages from a dedicated app.

When you approach an area displayed on the map, audio content will be activated, and audio and music related to that area will be played.

It can be used in various situations such as city tours, stamp rallies, location visting, etc., just like taking an audio guide from a museum or art gallery out on the town.

Since it is audio content, you can enjoy it safely because you will not be walking around while looking at your smartphone.

Another great feature is that even in the same location, you can experience different content depending on the situation, such as day and night, spring, summer, fall and winter.
